FFL TRANSFERS:
FFL transfer of firearms
purchased from private individuals or through auction sites on the
internet can be handled by the Powder Room for a fee of $35.00 per
firearm. Just stop by the Powder Room and get a signed copy of our FFL and send it to the seller along with your payment. The gun will
be sent to us. Upon receipt of the gun we will log it into our books
and contact you. When you come in to get it you will complete the
firearm transfer form and we will run the NICS background check while you
wait. Upon receipt of the NICS approval we will deliver the firearm
to you. NOTE: In Powell, OH there are no waiting periods and
no municipal fees.
Transfer
of firearms purchased from wholesalers and distributors must be discussed
with Steve or Bill at the Powder Room prior to release of the FFL.
GUNSMITH SERVICES: Gunsmith
services available through Brian Carney, certified armourer. Brian works
at the shop on Friday 10-2 and Saturday 10-8
INDIVIDUAL
FIREARMS OR COLLECTIONS: Often,
when a gun owner is ready to dispose of his or her personal
firearms collection, or when the gun owner has passed away and the
heirs need to dispose of firearms, there are questions on how to
accomplish this quickly, at a fair price, and with the confidence
that the firearms will be disposed of legally.
One
solution is to contact the Powder Room, and let us inspect and
evaluate the firearms. Depending on the value of the collection,
we can either purchase the firearms outright, or take them on
consignment and sell them on behalf of the owner(s). Either
way, the owners maintain their anonymity, get fair value for the
firearms, and are assured that the disposal meets all legal
requirements.
